The Barn’s new Hamewares Collection has arrived in FOLD, our dedicated craft & design store. Carrie Fertig, the artist behind our next exhibition at the Barn, Health of the Sublime, describes herself as a socially engaged interdisciplinary artist working in performance, video, sound, spoken word, and installation. Based in Laurencekirk, her work centres on community and communion with ourselves and in relation to each other, the places we love, and the natural world around us. Inspired by light, nature and community, our upcoming project Illuminate Together brings local people of all ages together through creativity. Working with schools and community groups, the Barn will bring creative sessions to local people, where together we’ll build original lanterns using reclaimed, repurposed and natural materials.
