Accessibility at the Barn

This access tour video takes you through all areas of the Barn. Should you require an access tour ahead of your visit, please contact our team. We have a fully accessible bathroom on site. Our new Walled Garden space is fully accessible, regrettably our Wild Garden may not be suitable for all access requirements. Please do not hesitate to contact us (01330 825 431) prior to your visit to discuss any additional access requirements.

The Barn has free parking on site, including accessible parking spaces which can be found at the Barn entrance. Please note that this car park may be restricted at large events so please check with the Box Office ahead of time.

Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of our venue.

We are happy to reserve seats to accommodate customers with access requirements. If you are a wheelchair user or have a preferred seat for access reasons, please let our Box Office know in advance so we can reserve you a seat.

If you require a carer to attend an event with you, please book your places by telephone to ensure you are not charged for their ticket.

Relaxed Screenings

Relaxed screenings are presented at the Barn for those in the neurodiverse community, their assistants and carers as well for those who find a more informal setting beneficial. The cinema environment is tailored to the needs of the audience with adjustments made to reduce stress and sensory input.

For these screenings:

- Our team and volunteers will welcome and assist visitors around the venue
- Staff are trained and ready to assist with any help you or other audience members may need while you're at the Barn
- Additional signage is placed around the venue to assist you
- The lights are dimmed, not off
- The volume levels are a little lower than usual
- The seats will be re-arranged to suit audience numbers and audience requirements - the audience size is restricted to ¾ cinema capacity
- Seats are unreserved - you can sit where you like and where you feel the most comfortable
- You are free to move around the auditorium and to enter and exit the auditorium at any time, with easy access for mobility aids
- Additional space is provided for storing mobility aids
- You're free to sing, dance or talk in these screenings
- A separate chillout/quiet space is available where you can go and relax if you find the experience overwhelming
- Our Duty Manager will introduce the screening, explain what adjustments have been made and let everyone know talking and movement is allowed
- A 15-minute interval provides a break – and time for a refreshment

The ticket price includes refreshments and a chance to socialise afterwards
