Everyone is welcome at the Barn

Please do not hesitate to call us prior to your visit to discuss any additional access requirements.

Our friendly and approachable staff are always available to help visitors. Get in touch with our Box Office to let us know what we can do to make your visit possible and enjoyable.

General Information

Our venue is fully accessible to those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. There are free accessible parking spaces directly in front of our venue and we have a fully accessible bathroom.

Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of our venue.

We have an Induction Loop in our main theatre space.

We accept Carer Cards. If you require a carer to attend an event with you, please book your places by telephone to ensure you are not charged for their ticket. Please advise your carer to bring their card with them when collecting the tickets.

Seating

Our seating is unreserved but we are happy to reserve seats to accommodate customers with access requirements.

If you are a wheelchair user or have a preferred seat for access reasons, please let our Box Office know in advance so we can reserve you a seat.

Customers wishing to use our Induction Loop in the main theatre will find that it is of optimal quality when used from the centre of the room. Advise us when booking if you require a specific seat.

Parking

The Barn has extensive free parking on site. Accessible parking spaces can be found at the Barn entrance. There is wheelchair access throughout the venue, and Buchanan's Bistro next door.

Venue Tours

Visitors who feel that a tour of the venue during a quiet time prior to a show should get in touch with our Box Office with as much notice as possible. We like to accommodate requests for access tours wherever possible.

We also have a guided visual tour of our venue in the form of a video. Click below to play the video by filmmaker Greg Mitchell, commissioned with thanks to Barrowland Ballet's Playful Tiger accessibility fund.

Accessible Shows

We aim to make all our shows as accessible as possible. We also run many events which are designed specifically for audiences with different access needs. At present this includes our regular Dementia Friendly Classic Matinee programme.

Many of our films are captioned, or have this option. Please get in touch with us in advance so we can advise on individual titles.

Please call our friendly Box Office staff (Tuesday - Saturday 12-4pm) or view our current brochure online to find out what accessible shows we are offering this season.

Babies and Carers

Children aged 2 and under go free, except where shows are specifically for younger children.
