Artists in Residence

Artists and performers are an essential part of the Barn community. They inspire us with their work and challenge us to think differently about what we do, and the possibilities of how we do it. As creative professionals they generate our nation's cultural health and well-being, and we believe the Barn has an important role to play in supporting them to thrive.

Each year we offer free use of our theatre, gallery and garden spaces to invited artists and performers, providing residency opportunities which support the research, development and production of new work.

We also work with a number of Associate Artists, who's practice we support over a three-year period, deepening the work we can achieve and the benefits these artists can derive from a longer-term creative and financial partnership with the Barn. As an organisation, we also benefit directly from the skills and experiences our Associates share with us.
