Across a series of four workshops, writer Shane Strachan will guide participants with previous writing experience to gain further skills whilst creating new work about contemporary life in the region.

Suitable for 14+ writers with some previous experience.

Meet the Tutor

Shane Strachan is a writer based in Aberdeen. His work is inspired by the Northeast of Scotland and its relationship with the wider world. Many of his stories and poems have been published nationally. Shane holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Aberdeen and is an Honorary Fellow of the university's WORD Centre for Creative Writing. He has experience teaching within academic and community settings and is represented by Jenny Brown.
