PART-TIME VENUE SUPERVISOR

Approximately 16 - 20 hours per week

SALARY: £11.80 per hour

The Barn, Aberdeenshire’s largest multi-arts venue offering a range of high quality live performances, cinema, exhibitions, workshops, outreach and training projects, is looking for a dedicated and organised Venue Supervisor to join the team.

You will be responsible for managing our venue team to maintain a well-kept, safe, secure, compliant, and efficient environment across a large site with support from Head of Operations. This includes taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenance and housekeeping, while also ensuring the venue team continually maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for both visitors and performers at Barn.

We are looking for someone who is a real problem solver, who is detail-orientated and willing to complete reports and admin tasks for the Head of Operations, plus somebody who, as a team leader, will oversee the setup and breakdown of public events, workshops, exhibitions and private hires.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and establishing a positive safety culture throughout the venue team.

To accommodate the Barn’s varied programme, the position will require the post holder to work flexibly during the week and at weekends.

You will serve as a main key-holder for the premises.

The post holder will also play a key role in the maintenance of our outdoor spaces including our Wild and Walled Gardens.

We would be particularly interested in applicants who have at least three years’ experience of caretaking/groundsperson duties and managing/mentoring volunteers.
