Key Purpose - To design, deliver and promote an innovative and high-quality cross-artform creative programme that aligns with the Barn’s artistic vision and business plan objectives.
With a diverse and dynamic annual arts programme spanning 150 performances, 200 workshops and artist-led environmental projects, the Barn is currently seeking an experienced cultural programmer to oversee the design and delivery of our shows and creative events. Forming part of the senior management team, this is an exciting new role at the Barn that reflects the growing ambition and creative reach of the organisation as it approaches its 25th year.
Our award-winning creative programme encompasses music, theatre, dance, film, live screenings, talks, exhibitions and environmental projects, and the Head of Programme will be expected to have a specialist knowledge within one or more performing arts genres.
You will be a confident communicator with a proven track record of managing contracts, commissioning creative projects and brokering positive working relationships with performers, content providers and promoters. You will enjoy strong national/international professional networks and be a passionate advocate for both our unique rural venue and the positive role culture plays in the wellbeing of our visitors.
